[A few make it past his massacre. Only because instead of using magic, instead of immolating or vaporizing the crystalline monsters where they stand, he opts for physical violence. A Piercing Strike as he slams his fist into one beasts chest hard enough to not only shatter the crystal, but puncture through its body entirely, leaving a gaping, bloody wound and coating his arm in viscera.
And then he pulls his arm back, shoving the stumbling creature into another before he strikes again, just as brutal, just as fast. They're all weaker than him, there's no contest as he strikes them all without mercy, the force of his Deathbound enough to sever limbs just from the sheer impact, leaving shattered crystal and scattered limbs around him from the onslaught. And-
He's enjoying it.
The scent of blood is strong in his nose. The feelings of elation rising higher and higher as the savagery of Bel is sated. Nowhere else could he let loose like this. No other targets would be appropriate.
But these are monsters. They're not people. They're not human. These ones aren't even former dreamers to worry about.
They're gelflings and goblins and dragonkin all caught up in the rapidly spreading ailment, and the cure is death. There's no reason for him to bring those he doesn't care for, doesn't know to the crystal to cleanse them. He doesn't care except to flaunt his power, his superiority and brutality on those that are clearly underneath him.
Every death is a victory. The weak willed Dreamers that crumble are nothing more than trash. There's blood - so much of it and none belongs to the two vicious attackers that annihilate all in their path.
Akechi takes note of every single attack - some more recognizable than others. Deathbound one he enjoys watching more than the rest. His own palms soaked blood, rot and crystal. It slices his skin, red specks dot his lips and cheeks - it's fun. So fun. Incredibly fun.
And he laughs - choked and heated through every slice and Riot Gun that Loki uses to level the ground around them. Kazuya leaves little in his wake. Akechi slices at unbreathing forms anyway - slams a foot against the open insides of some Dreamer, townsperson, disgusting little cretin anyway.
They could rip down Seravo from his throne and enact a new ruler. Could crush him and his wife under their heel and tear apart this reality for good.
He wants nothing more than to see it all burn. Through the smoke and ash of Kazuya's attacks, he sees a broken world waiting. ]
Look at that one lamenting over its pathetic little teammate!
[ It's as close to despair as these creatures feel - one beast reaching for another. Akechi's foot slams on each crooked finger one by one. ]
Aw, how sad! You should have run and hide, idiot! Now tell me how much this hurts!
[Akechi speaks, but Kazuya doesn't really hear him. Instead, his foot comes down on a crystalline creatures head hard enough to turn it into a paste after he knocks it down. There's organs and viscera everywhere, and the smell has his heart pumping loudly in his veins.
Part of him wants to pick up a fleshy bit, to lick his hands clean from the blood, just to taste, but the logical core in his brain that's still firing tells him to not. Not because it's wrong or that he shouldn't because its a step too far, but because they could be infectious just from this alone, and that part of him still wants to keep everyone safe.
Turning himself into a mindless crystal monster would run opposite of that fairly easily.
So that urge has to be dealt with, and the easiest way to do that is immolation.
The corpses erupt in black flames, catching instantly and being reduced to ash.]
Causing them maximum pain as you put it would take too long. I know you're just killing for the sake of killing- [And he is too, in a way. He's not throwing stones, merely observing that fact.] but I'd prefer to cull them all before they hurt people. If you want to torture them, at least wait until we catch the last few of them, then have your fun.
[He knows he will have that fun. Twist their bodies into unnatural shapes. See just how much pain they can withstand before the succumb, and then refine that technique to make them last longer. To put the creatures through more.]
cw: violence and guro..... and unfortunately ig npc based specisim/racism

They're not even a challenge.

Akechi will remember how strong Kazuya truly is when the time comes to pull a false king from his ivory throne in Stellari.
Most corpses disappear with Kazuya's assault. The one Akechi's wrist deep in vanishes in a puff of smoke. ]
It's a shame we can't cause them maximum pain. Their death was too swift and more merciful than they deserved.

[ And Akechi? Will gladly trot beside him for a little murder spree for however long they end up wandering the town for. ]
