I was reminded of another story, after our earlier discussion. I thought you would find it entertaining.
There was a hunter in the woods who became lost in the forest after venturing too far. After hours of aimless wandering, he came across a cabin. It was dark and he decided to use it for shelter that night. Whether owned by another, or abandoned - it was irrelevant. He couldn't sleep outside.
As he approached, the door was ajar.
Nobody was inside.
As he looked around the cabin, he saw the walls adorned by portraits, all painted in incredible detail. They appeared to be staring down at him with an untold hatred. Their eyes followed him. He attributed it to deep exhaustion, the unease of being somewhere unknown. It took effort, but he managed to ignore the photos and rest in that forgotten home.
The next morning, the hunter awoke to blaring, bright sunlight and discovered that the cabin had no portraits, only windows.
